
Abdelkader Mana was born in Essaouira and has devoted many years for the study of the ethnography of Essaouira and its region. He has written, as journalist, numerous articles on the popular culture of southern Morocco. He has
supervised, on behalf of the television channel 2M, the production of documentaries on music, the Rif War and Taza.
He has published several books, devoted to Regragas, Essaouira, Gnaouas and contemporary painting.
